Product Description
Bentonite is traditionally used as a support and lubricating agent in walls, foundations, tunneling and horizontal drilling.
Bentonite slurry walls are used in construction, where the slurry wall is a trench filled with a thick colloidal mixture of Bentonite and water. A trench that would collapse due to the hydraulic pressure in the surrounding soil does not collapse as the slurry balances the hydraulic pressure. Forms of concrete and rebar, can be assembled in slurry filled trench, and then have concrete poured into the form. The liquid concrete is heavier than the Bentonite slurry, and displaces it, and it can be re-used in a new trench elsewhere on the construction site.
The Important characteristics of Piling Grade Bentonite are covers large surface area, good plasticity and lubricity, low filter loss, excellent gel strength, good impermeability & low compressibility.
Advantages with our Bentonite
- · High yield and cost effective
- · For all types of soils
- · Good filter cake with stable formations
- · Mixes quickly and easily
- · Low filter loss
Civil Engineering Grades
FMGEL® series are easy to mix, high viscosity Bentonite specifically derived to for higher barrel yield. These can be used for all types of fresh water mud rotary drilling.
FMGEL® Z-150
DESCRIPTION
FMGEL® Z-150 is a high yield sodium based Bentonite.
RECOMMENDED USES
It exhibits optimal rheological properties thus can be used in diaphragm walls, cut off walls, as an hydraulic barrier and other civil construction applications.
FMGEL® Z-200
DESCRIPTION
FMGEL® Z-200 is a sodium based Bentonite, specifically designed for fresh water drilling and boring applications. It rapidly builds superior viscosity and gel strength which provides better hole cleaning and circulation control.
RECOMMENDED USES
It best applicable for horizontal directional drilling, pipejacking, micro tunnelling, etc.
